Rankie Mini DisplayPort (Mini DP) to HDMI Cable, 4K Ready
$12.99
The 6 feet cable connects a Mini DisplayPort with Thunderbolt TM port enabled computer to an HDTV, monitor, or projector with HDMI input for audio and video streaming. (Note: NOT bi-directional. Only converts signal from Mini DP to HDMI)
The gold-plated conductors resist corrosion and increase connectivity. The inner braided foil shielding reduces interference and improves signal quality
Note: for 4K usage, it requires device to support only 4K/30Hz, not 60Hz. Please refer to your device manual. Supports resolutions up to 4K x 2K, and flawless audio pass-thru for uncompressed digital 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channels
The low-profile connector does not block adjacent ports. The ergonomic tread is easy to plug and unplug

I don”t know if I need to do something special with my laptop or sound just doesn”t come through. Cable seems to work great otherwise. Going to use it to stream from my laptop to a TV.

I tried other adapters to display my Galaxy Tab S5e screen on my TV but I had picture quality issues and sync issues. This cable just worked out of the box. Connected the HDMI side to my AV receiver and the USB-C to the tablet and the tablet switched automatically into DEX mode. Completely painless. Excellent picture and audio quality. Only thing I am not enamored with is the cable thickness and therefore the weight of the cable. Makes it harder to take on a trip. I”d like to see a much thinner and lighter cable.

It works! Passes 4k at 60fps and 1080p at 120fps to my monitor ok. No issues so far.

My monitors each have only one DisplayPort connector which I plug into my home PC. When I work from home my laptop also has only DisplayPort one standard and one mini. This works well to conveniently connect my second monitor at 1440p (have not tested 4k). Clarity and color accuracy seem no different than when I”m in the office connected through DisplayPort.
