      Used this adapter to connect a Dell external DVD to a 2018 MacBook Pro. I am pleased to say it was easy to use and worked great!

      It works but the double edged blade is that it holds on the the USB for dear life. Makes me feel like I am going to rip it out some day. Still it does give me the security that the USB isn’t going to fall out mid-file transfer.
