The reason I bought this adapter was to connect MacBook Air 2012 to HDMI port of my TV. Nothing to set up and worked as advertised! Hope it is durable because I have to plug and unplug it from MacBook Air.Recommended!

Solid product gets a bit hot but does not affect performance.

Stopped working after 3 and a half years. Until that time it did it”s job flawlessly. The wire now rotates freely in the connection with the HDMI end.I am going to buy another of this product (cheaper now too) but whether I recommend I don”t know. It”s the third of these adaptors i”ve bought since getting a surface and so far I”m only up to 50% of what it would have cost to buy the official adaptor in 2014.
