    I love this because I have always had difficulty using the soft ball stage test. My last two batches of fudge have turned out perfectly by using this thermometer!

    On comparing to a rod thermometer there is absolutely no difference besides the distance you can operate at and less hassle to clean. Plenty of adjustable features such as degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius and laser pointer
