      I have the $30 version from Officeworks and now one of these. the $30 officeworks one only outputs to 1920×1080 60hz but this outputs to 2560×1440 60hz so this is far better quality and cheaper. Brilliant.

      Both Display port and HDMI are digital formats so this is just an adapter. and a really good one at that. No special software or drivers are necessary due to the fact that I just mentioned. My PC doesn’t have a HDMI port. but instead it has two display ports. I wanted to run dual monitors. but my second monitor only has HDMI ports. So for my first monitor I just used a standard DP to DP cable. but for the second monitor I just used a standard HDMI cable. and stuck this adapter at the end that goes into the PC and it just worked straight away..So to summarise. this is a great product. really simple to setup and use. doesn’t require any additional software and is great value for money. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of it’s looks. It looks very “bog standard” and a bit chunky. If they had made it a tiny bit smaller and rounded off the edges to make it stand our from all the other models on the market then it would definitely be a 5 star product. If the looks don’t bother you that much then I would say definitely get this one.

      used on a number of branded pcs without issue. cheaper than the walk in stores at $35 per unit..I had next day delivery on the last order.

      Works great! I use this to watch movies on my latop on my TV. since my laptop hasn’t got a HDMI port this helps a lot! The picture quality seems very high. very good for the price you’re paying!
