You don’t often need one of these cables. but they are indispensable when you do. I have a rechargeable light for my cycling helmet and it comes with a male plug not a female socket. Having this cable means I don’t have to take the light off the helmet every time I want to charge it. Perfect.

The female socket on this extension is a little bit on the loose side but as long as you don’t try to stretch the lead it makes good enough contact.
