    Here’s the only downside of these non-contact thermometers: It apparently measures exactly what you point it at (obviously) ….. and there is a lot of variance in the reported temperature. For instance. if you’re using it for AC vent temps. it depends on exactly where (and how deep) you set your target. So … useful tool …. but I expect that the operator (that would be Me) needs more training in order to get repeatable. somewhat accurate readings. Tool is dirt-simple to use. and seems to be pretty hardy. And not expensive.
