      I use this for my drawing tablet so it frees up my HDMI for my mixed reality headset. I always check for Rankie cables before I go anywhere else. I’m very sure of them as a brand.

      this device “Rankie DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI Adapter. 4K Resolution Ready Converter with Audio (Black)”.works on Windows 7. it gives you the options of stereo. 3.1 all the way to 7.1 when connected to an AV receiver. max 24bit 192kHz..hope this helps.

      I bought three of these over time. and for some reason. one of them causes screen tearing at 1080p 60Hz. I’ve swapped them out and confirmed just one of them is problematic. Going to 50Hz helps but is not ideal. I assumed the tearing was due to another issue long ago. so I can’t get a replacement anymore. but it’s worth paying attention to the fact that these adapters may have some issues.

      I needed this display port to put a second monitor on my Mac Mini M1 and it does the job just fine..I recommande.
