For a non-apple product this works great. It can be inserted into the new macbook and I can use all my USB cords according. One caution is that the connection into the computer has to be aligned and you may need to readjust the connection occasionally. I can see this breaking off if you’re not careful. I’m sure I’ll need to replace these as time goes on. I have only used my first one and it has been 5 months. I use it every day to plug my phone in or to use my USB drive.
