The 6 feet cable connects a Mini DisplayPort with Thunderbolt TM port enabled computer to a monitor or projector with DVI input for video streaming. (Note: Does NOT transmit audio signal. NOT bi-directional. Only converts signal from Mini DP to DVI)
The gold-plated conductors resist corrosion and increase connectivity. The inner braided foil shielding reduces interference and improves signal quality
Supports resolutions up to 1920×1200 or 1080P (full HD)
The low-profile connector does not block adjacent ports. The ergonomic tread is easy to plug and unplug
Suitable for Extended Desktop or Mirrored Displays. customer service from Rankie

I bought this to connect a laptop with an HDMI port to an older DVI monitor. It works great provides a good stable image. Since it’s a DVI connector it won’t show copyright protected images such as DVD and doesn’t support sound through the cable but we need it for slide shows and online presentations only.
