Photographically looked like a good design & and appeared well manufactured. Turns out it is a very good design as the sink food particles do not need much effort to skip over the strainer’s beveled edge & into the basket and it is well manufactured.

Having purchased a couple at a major discount store which I had to toss the next day because they started to rust I decided to give these a try to keep food scraps from clogging up the kitchen drain (I do have a disposal but the drain pipe will still get clogged with food scraps). So far it’s been about a week and they are exposed to water and wet a good part of the day and I have seen no rust. I like how easy they are to clean out because they are solid not mesh and they fit really well over the drain holes so they trap a lot of food debris. A good value!
