Had been having issue with my internet and nothing seemed to fix it..Ended up thinking the culprit was my motherboard internet port and turned out I was right..I wanted to order a regular ethernet card but all were out of stock and then I found this..Was a bit suspicious of how well this would work but so far it has worked like a charm..I am getting great signal. no drops and my full 400 gb/s speed as I should.

Had troubles with my on-board NIC and had a spare USB 3.0 port available. Ordered on Wednesday evening. arrived on Friday. Super easy to install. Win 10 detected without ANY issues. disabled my on-board NIC and .. well. smooth sailin’ from then on. Great product. thank you!

I bought this item as probably like many owners of laptops the ethernet port became damaged by something pulling on the ethernet lead but rather than get a repair it was a lot easier to try something like this. Upon first using the adaptor I couldn”t get it to connect to the internet it connected to the router but no further. I did a network reset on the laptop and then it worked perfectly I think the problem is my laptop as it is would you believe 12 years old…I know I need a new laptop I just hate replacing for the sake of it!Delivery was quick and the build quality of the item is excellent I would definitely recommend it.Andrew

Update: I got a new adapter from another manufacturer and there is still a problem. I’ll give the item the benefit of the doubt. It may not have been defective. Only found this out after returning..Previous review: It worked well for a couple of weeks. Now it creeps along. delivering no more than 2Mbps on a Gigabit connection.
