I bought this back in December 2018 and it worked (and still works) fine on my Laptops but not with my phone. If I use it to connect my mobile via Ethernet (which works fine with a UGREEN Ethernet Adapter) with my Rankies they sometimes connect when I first plug it in (maybe 1 time out of 4) if I do manage to get a connection then as soon as I move the adapter it cuts out. Which is very strange. The only difference between my Rankies and my UGREEN is the UGREEN is USB2 not USB3. Maybe this is the issue but seems strange that moving it would affect the connection. However moving it with my PC its still fine! So I”m very confused – originally I was going to give this a 1 star due to issues using it for my phone however as it works fine with my PC that may be a bit harsh as I think there may be a compatibility issue somewhere.

My Enphase Envoy on my solar system was no longer reporting due to a fried ethernet port from a recent lightning storm. I used the Rankie USB network adapter on the USB port of the Envoy and all is well again Thanks! Saved me $500
