The 6 feet cable connects a Mini DisplayPort with Thunderbolt TM port enabled computer to an HDTV, monitor, or projector with HDMI input for audio and video streaming. (Note: NOT bi-directional. Only converts signal from Mini DP to HDMI)
The gold-plated conductors resist corrosion and increase connectivity. The inner braided foil shielding reduces interference and improves signal quality
Note: for 4K usage, it requires device to support only 4K/30Hz, not 60Hz. Please refer to your device manual. Supports resolutions up to 4K x 2K, and flawless audio pass-thru for uncompressed digital 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channels
The low-profile connector does not block adjacent ports. The ergonomic tread is easy to plug and unplug

This is a well made cable and will transmit 4K at 60hz no problem however it will NOT do 4K 60Hz 10\12-bit colour depth (for professional workstation monitors) as I don”t believe HDMI 2.0 has enough bandwidth for this task. As long as you do not need 10\12-bit colour depth (you also need a monitor and graphics card that is 10-bit capable) you will be fine.If you do require 4K 60Hz at 10-bit you will need a ”display port” cable instead (beware of lengths over 2 metres).

I use it to drive a 3440×1440 screen and it can comfortably do so at 60Hz (didn”t need more) also through a KVM so I”m very happy with this purchase.

When my extended display stopped working I had several weeks of wondering if my previous adapter had failed or if the problem could possibly be my Surface Book”s miniDisplayPort (I had tested 2nd monitor & hdmi cable successfully so it wasn”t them).So I decided to replace the adaptor and happily this solved the problem. I am delighted that it includes a length of hdmi cable which I”ve simply plugged straight into the 2nd monitor. The fit is snug and I am back up with two screens again for a very modest outlay.
