Bought it to add a second monitor to my imac. served me well. but my monitor is 1440p and it was only showing 1080p. Was able to fix this problem with a mini DP to DP adapter. Though this may be a weird apple compatibility issue.

I”ve used this to recycle an old monitor with an HDMI input and create a second screen from my iMac. Plugged in both end changed input on old monitor and it works fine. It”s a cable and it”s fine for what I want to do with it.
