The official cover (with no back) is inferior to this. I own two of these (on an iPad Mini 2 and 1) and after over a year of heavy use they’re a bit dirtier but not damaged. The flexible parts (where the cover folds) show no real signs of wear.NOTE: be sure to check the model of iPad Mini you have before buying! Though iPad Minis look more or less the same there are slight size differences. The 2019 for example won’t work in snug-fitting cases like this. Hopefully they release an updated version for that model.
