This cord did what I needed it to do. I just recommend that you do your research before ordering. This is a HDMI to VGA cord. This means the information flows from wherever the HDMI port is (my laptop) to the VGA port (my monitor). It will not work the other way around without an additional convertor.

So I had picked up a very nice. almost new LCD projector for cheap. but was hesitant as it didn’t had any digital inputs. limiting the use to being connected to a laptop with VGA out only. But with this cable. it should connect to media players too. as well as to any other (future) device that has HDMI only..The picture quality from my first quick test while projecting just the laptop wallpaper onto the wall seems to be excellent. will have to test it on an actual projection screen with video later..Only comment is that the cable is rather thin. I know that that may not affect picture quality or life time. but it just feels a bit “on the economic side”.

Wanted to use an older slow laptop to zoom in a different room. Had a VGA input monitor. and HDMI output from the laptop. This cable lets me do it..Seems sturdy
