Have a new laptop that only has HDMI port. Trying to save my old but good monitor that has no HDMI input. I bought two kinds of HDMI to VGA adaptors. Both worked poorly. frequently flicking. Just before giving. I bought this and WOW. It worked perfectly. no flickering and solid steady. So if you want to save your old monitors. use this kind of cable. not adaptors. Check if your monitors have DVI input first though.
