Does as advertised but dont be me read the descruption thoroughly. Both ends are male this is NOT a male DP to female hdmi or vice versa. Its also a long chord not an adapter.

Works fine hooking a 5500xt up to the display so I can use the HDMI port for a VR headset.

They work perfect. Exactly what I needed except I underestimated how long my setup needed these cables to be. zStill I’ll hold on to them because who doesn’t need spares once in a while? Ordered another set the proper length because of how great these work.

I bought this cable because I wanted to use my LG 4K monitor for work after my workplace sent us to work from home because of COVID. The monitor only has one DP and two HDMI inputs and the work laptop has only DP and VGA outputs. I did not want to use the DP input since my gaming computer is connected to it and the Freesync option works only through DP. Since the laptop doesn’t need Freesync this looked like an ideal solution. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I had never heard of this brand but there were lots of 5-star reviews so I gave it a chance.
And it works. Picture quality is just as if I had plugged a regular DP cable to the monitor — text is sharp without any blurring or color artifacts. The monitor has no speakers so I can’t test the claims about stereo sound but otherwise this cable is great. Absolutely pleased with the purchase.
