The DP connector has a latch to provide secure connection with the port. Press the latch down before unplugging the connector

The cable works. I use it on an Acer Full HD 1080P monitor….I can’t afford a 4k monitor so I was not able to test that functionality (sorry folks!). The end with the HDMI plug is a bit larger than I expected so it sticks out from the back of the monitor almost 2 inches and it looks kind of weird…but it works!

Found release mechanism a bit problematic at times. Otherwise works just fine.

This DP to HDMI cable comes with snap lock on DP end which make this cable to securely connected at the monitor so no need to go behind the monitor to attached it again in case someone pulls by mistake (office cleaning staff or someone else)
