Works as advertised. Normal room lighting provides sufficient power to operate so battery backup is not necessary but you can install an AA battery if you choose. Large display for a relatively small calculator

Keys are big and easy to use. it has a backspace key > so you can correct an error w/o starting over. keeping your total. I bought this for my brother who has arthritis in his hands and fingers are stiff. Now I will buy myself a second one.
