These were much more delicate then I expected. I have a pair of Fiskars that are twice as rugged as this pair. I started using the Fiskars on branches of shrubs and it started wearing down. I still use it. but wanted a pair for flowers or smaller plants that needed a clean cut. I got these for a good price. so worth the price I paid. Always good to have a pair laying around if needed. If I was a more serious gardener. I would put a little more money into the shears.
