We have tried every size and shape drain filter you can imagine. It always comes down to: they are really hard to keep clean and they end up looking lousy. This filter being more solid is easy to dump out and to clean. The other thing is that the lip is very flat so items go into the filter much easier. We’ve got them in both sinks now.

Bought this to avoid teaspoons and small bottle caps falling into the garbage disposal does exactly that and also catches food bits that can go into the compost. I barely need a garbage disposal anymore!
Product is well built holes are sized just right to allow quick drainage even with small food pieces and the metal is not filmsy and is easy to clean. Bonus you get 3 of the product so even if it gets dirty I have spares on the ready.
Recommend this wholeheartedly I won’t go without this in any kitchen sink anymore!

I bought this product because the previous one I had was made of a material that made the food get stuck to it and made it difficult to get out. My friend recommended these and I love them! Catches food nicely & is easy to clean. Also seems it will last a while without having to be replaced
