Easy to use point and shoot and get an instant reading. My son has measured just about everything in the house to see it’s temp. Kept a 12 year old busy for an afternoon lol.
I use it mainky doe determining if pans are hot enough to start cooking or if they are TOO hot to add butter. I hate it when my butter burns too quick or if my food just sits in a too cold pan and doesnt crisp. Because i use many different weight pans and have an ancient electric stove it is hard to know how hot the pan is. Love this temp gun for cooking!

Only used it once. To measure the temperature of a Champagne bottle I left in the freezer for a little longer than I would normally. It read 41 degrees. Opened the bottle and sure enough no problem.

We’ve only had it a few days but it appears to do the job (checking for cold air leaks in the ducts).
