The DP connector has a latch to provide secure connection with the port. Press the latch down before unplugging the connector

This Displayport to DVI cable appears to be well made and should last many years.. Worked perfectly to connect an older monitor to a new PC with only Display Ports. Highly recommend it.

On first impression the cable appears thinner than a standard DVI or DP cable. but this has no impact on the function or picture. Despite being thin. the cable is well built. and is actually easier to route through cable management systems.
