Just bought this for the Rift S and it works. I had to plug the Rift S in twice because the first time I plugged it in I ended up with a box with three animated dots which went on forever. Second time I plugged it in I got a picture on my Rift S without a problem!

Bought this cable as an extension for my VR setup. Works right off the bat and has now issues as far as I can tell. Make sure you are plugging it into a graphics card. and a solid one at that.

I have an Oculus Rift S. and have been looking to find a way of using it in the front room. without moving the PC. as it is located under the stairs. I read up a bit. and it sounds like you habe to use extension cables. but to ensure that you do not have the total cable length over 8m. as there could be a data drop over that length which would stop the rift from working..So for the full system. I have bought this product. a 3m hdmi extension (so I can mirror my pc screen to the tv. and let anyone else in the room see the view through the rift). and also a 1.8m usb 3.0 ext cable. All bought on and delivered the next day..The cable arrived in time. neatly packed. and has a robust feel to it. Very easy to plug into the PC display port. and the other end to the rift s cable. Do the same for the USB is you have it.. For me. this worked straight away. and I have had zero issues with any connection problems. it simply did what I had hoped. I have used this so far on Beat Saber. Spiderman. Oculus home and tutorials. and Robo Recall.. The PC is a decent spec grade with a 2080 ti gpu. and runs the rift s with no problems..As a solution for giving just a few extra metres and exetending the headset to PC distance this has worked for me 100%. It now means that I do not have to move the PC to use the headset in a large room.

This cable works perfectly for the Oculus Rift S. I needed an extension. I was afraid the Oculus might be sensitive to signal loss and not like just any extension cable. But this one works perfectly.I started worrying about wearing out the contacts on the primary headset cable by frequent plugging and unplugging. So I bought this cable and a USB3 male/female adapter that”s only about 1.5 long. I put the USB3 adapter on the Oculus cable and planned to let the adapter take the wear and tear of plugging and unplugging. But the USB3 adapter breaks the signal and won”t connect. So for now I am in fact plugging and unplugging in the primary contacts. My point by explaining this is the Oculus does appear to be sensitive to signal loss. But this cable works perfectly.
