Cheap and effective. Just what I needed.
There’s really nothing else to say. It was the cheapest I could find as it only had to a simple job but there is no picture loss and it’s done exactly what it was needed for.

Update 2: Following on the below I disconnecting the cable and decided to keep using the headset without it and… the noise continued (and in fact got slightly worse). So either the cable caused permanent damage to my headset or more likely it isn’t the cause of the problem. So back to 5!
Update: After a bit of time with this cable while the video is flawless the sounds isn’t quite there with occasional clicks and clips. I’ve also had a couple of crashes although I’m not sure if they’re the result of the cable. As a result of that I’m dropping this down to 4 stars for the moment.
I recently bought a HP Reverb VR headset (from HP directly after price scalpers made it spin out of control here grumble grumble) and I really wanted to extend the cables for it. USB wasn’t a problem… I still had a cable I bought recently for the Lenovo Explorer I was upgrading from… but Displayport was a different story.
But I was worried. See for those who don’t know the Reverb runs at a much higher resolution than most VR headsets. Great picture but it also means that as I understand it a lot of Displayport extenders wouldn’t work for it; they’re designed to handle lower resolutions (or higher ones at lower framerates) and simply wouldn’t work here. I found a couple cables which were confirmed to work but only on US with no equivalent here. Eventually I took the plunge on this one.
Got it today set it up and yep works for the Reverb no problem. I’d have preferred a 3m cable than a 1.8m but whatever should do me!

Nice robust lead handy little plug locks on each end to avoid accidental plug removal. Get occasional flicker from the screen I’m using since connecting via DP not sure if it’s the lead or the plug.
