I bought the VGA cable in hopes of connecting a monitor from an older desktop computer to my laptop for use as a second monitor for work at home. The cable’s male connectors seem to be compatible with both monitor and laptop and installed easily. It is nice once again to be able to see different documents on separate screens.

I replaced a cheap – and. as it turned out. nasty – VGA cable with this Rankie one and – magically the issue with my display was resolved. At one stage. I thought that I might need to replace the monitor and that would have been an expensive mistake!
