Discovered something in this small home project i just finished: Not all all VGA cables and switches are created equal. Some limit the options of monitor resolutions. for some reason. Probably they skip wiring some of the pins or something. The thing is that these particular VGA cables worked great! I had some fancier looking ones that i had to discard. These have a basic non-fancy look. but feel strong and well built. And they work with all the resolutions of my system!
