It works very well. I bought it for my girlfriend’s laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad). It doesn’t have Hdmi so I ordered this small port to connect the laptop to the monitor. It is good quality recommended.

This worked fine with my HP Spectre which has mini display port and my old monitor which only has VGA input. Means I can plug to monitors into my laptop as can also utilise the HDMi port. Been using it for 2-3 days.

I had the chance to use it 3 times for now and it works absolutely perfect.My laptop is Surface Pro 4 and is really easy to use and the quality is okay bot perfect but for a small amount of money is worth it.

Not sure what else to say about this. I used it on an older MS Surface machine to hook up an older VGA monitor. Worked without issue.
