Rankie Mini DisplayPort (Mini DP) to HDMI Cable, 4K Ready
Description
The 6 feet cable connects a Mini DisplayPort with Thunderbolt TM port enabled computer to an HDTV, monitor, or projector with HDMI input for audio and video streaming. (Note: NOT bi-directional. Only converts signal from Mini DP to HDMI)
The gold-plated conductors resist corrosion and increase connectivity. The inner braided foil shielding reduces interference and improves signal quality
Note: for 4K usage, it requires device to support only 4K/30Hz, not 60Hz. Please refer to your device manual. Supports resolutions up to 4K x 2K, and flawless audio pass-thru for uncompressed digital 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channels
The low-profile connector does not block adjacent ports. The ergonomic tread is easy to plug and unplug
Suitable for Extended Desktop or Mirrored Displays. Customer service from Rankie

This cable does exactly what it claims to do. Prior to purchasing this cable I was using a Mini Displyport to HDNI adapter in conjunction with an HDMI cable to accomplish the same task. This cable simplifies this process. I plan to purchase at least one more of these cables. If like me you are using a Mac this connector works with the Thunderbolt port.

I needed a cable to tie my Microsoft Surface to my HD TV and this one worked perfectly. I was considering an adapter to get from mini-display port to HDMI then using a standard HDMI cable. I took a shot at this cable to eliminate one connection and glad that I did!

4K resolution for real! If you have a Thunderbolt port and you want 4K you need this. It is a fraction of the Apple price and it works. Connected my mid-2014 MacBook Pro via HDMI-to-HDMI and could not figure out why my Samsung UHD TV was still showing a poor picture. The answer: 4K can only come from the Thunderbolt-to-HDMI cable and WOW!

This cable seems very good. Only had it a couple of days but works fine and looks to be well constructed. Comes with a lifetime warranty which is good also.
