The cable did not fix my overall problem. I was connecting a OWC mini display port to a Dell U2913WM When using this cable the picture quality on the Dell was degraded from the previous set up which was MP to DP. I tried this cable because I thought the DP on the monitor was intermittent. Problem seems to be the OWC hub. On other thing is the HDMI connector housing just barely fit into the monitor. I had to start it into position at a slight angle. I will keep this cable as I can use it on another workstation with older computer and monitor. It seems to work better there.
