Works as advertised. 4K worked only on my MBP15 (2013 retina with graphic card) but only supported 1080P on my MBP13 (2012 retina). 4K depends on what computer you have. Nice to have and no issues with connection at all. Had it for a couple of weeks and I recommend this product.

Fast delivery and good quality. Cable does support 4K video and sound. The latter is depended on your laptop if it does support sound over mini DV.

I got this because the HDMI to Mini DP cable I had worked fine but unfortunately the mini DP port casing was too thick and so when plugged in the side of my laptop was raised slightly off the desk. Because of this the connection could get lose with any slight movement. This adapter fits onto my laptop perfectly. No more trying to balance my laptop to get a connection. Picture quality is great and I can play games or get work done with no issues.
