I had a different strainer I selected because reviewers found this type of strainer to be too fine and the water did not drain. So. the one I got had bigger holes and stuff went down or got caught in the holes and I had to clean it out constantly. This one. I tap on the edge of my countertop composter or the edge of the waste basket and it all comes out. or almost all. Glutenous material and things like sliced onion and vegetable peel have a tendency to stick which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. But otherwise. I love it. No more expensive plumbers for me!

Fits perfectly in a standard Canadian kitchen sink. Sits nice and flat in the drain hole which allows all debris to wash into it easily. I”d recommend this; no hesitation.

I have purchased this set twice now. I’ve shared with family and all have agreed that this is the best sink strainer out there! I’ve written a review before but it seems to have been deleted.
I’ve purchased so many strainers over the years and every single one just became gross and rusty. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I don’t have time to dry my kitchen strainer every day. I’ve had one of these in my sink for months and no rust! Everyone should have one of these.
