The regular sink thingy gets dirty and smelly and hard to clean the bottom part where the rubber is. I seldom need to actually close the sink. since it’s a single and I use a dishpan to wash dishes. So I cleaned that up and put it away until the remote chance I might need it. With this product it’s easy to just pick it up and dump out the contents into the garbage…very easy to rinse off and put back. I love it! Don’t know why I had to order three. though since I only have one sink.

This strainer works as intended. It slips over most drain holes and catches anything larger than the holes. Its light weight. but stays in place if you have to dump a good amount of water in the sink. This is an easy way to make sure you don’t lose something down a drain like a ring or utensils and helps keep your drains clear of any larger debris.

Perfect shiny & quality sink strainer. It keeps food from going down the sink on the side without the disposal. The straining holes are small & let water through but not food. I have been putting it in the dishwasher periodically after wiping the food out of it in to the trash can. It looks like it will stay new looking a long time because it is nice quality stainless steel. I am very pleased with it.
