Fits perfectly in sink. Usually comes fairly clean when tapped over trash can. I just put it in the dishwasher at night to keep it clean and fresh. Nice to more than one so there is always one clean to put in the sink. I like it much better than the screen mesh style or the plastic ones.

Been over a year now since using this Helect Kitchen Sink Strainer. Haven”t used my kitchen sink garbage disposer since then other than deliberately running it once a month just to be sure that the disposer does not stop working due to non-use. Catches almost all of the food particles which one can throw in trash. Easy to clean too. Does stain over time which is to be expected. Keeping it clean helps.
