They are a little bit dark however they do exactly what I needed them to do and provide privacy when I am working through sensitive support calls that I don’t want other people when in airports etc…to see.

I have an I phone 8. The Privacy Screen aspect of it is amazing. If someone is standing next to me they cant see my screen. I took a way one star because it doesn’t necessary fit the screen completely. No matter how much I tried to position it in the middle there is a fine line on the edge of the screen that is not covered nor protected. You can definitely see it when you till the phone to the side that there is a fine line area not covered. The tempered glass is definitely has a darker film which I guess it helps with the privacy aspect of it. Im still satify with my purchased I just wished the glass was a bid wider.
