I’ve tried these without the bracket and they left gaps on the edges. Using the bracket to apply gives the perfect alignment. No side bubbles. Just need to make sure you clean the screen thoroughly. I use Isopropyl alcohol and then the microfibre cloth. then the sticky pad to remove any dust. then clip on the bracket. clear any more dust with sticky pad and apply. Make sure you apple from top to bottom. or bottom to top. not side to side and slowly press from top to bottom or bottom to top depending on where you started. then smooth out the edges and any bubbles that got stuck under from not pressing properly.

It works great to protect your phone from scratches and cracks. I have purchased these now for 4 different phones and they have worked to protect all 4. With a really hard drop. the screen protector has cracked. but when I took it off my screen was perfect and I just put another protector on.
