Interesting texture on this one. Not real grippy. but not slick. either. I put it on the arm of my sofa and after three or four minutes it creeps along and falls off the edge. like it has a mind of its own. I like it because it is really minimal but does a good job of protecting the phone. including a tiny raised lip around the screen..After a couple of years the rubber coating started to come off as I was picking at the edge.

My old cover had fallen apart and was no longer protecting the phone. I was going on holiday and didn’t see the point in spending on an Apple product to get covered in suncream. I bought this hoping it would last a few weeks… its still as good as new three months later and none the worse for its time by the pool

I had the OtterBox case with new phone. But the Otterbox has disintegrated. So this is the replacement. Since the phone is already. there is no need to spend so much to buy an expensive case for it..This case dis not disappoint. Compared with the Otterbox. it is thinner. but less bulky. As long as the phone is at normal use. I do not see this case offers less protection. If I drop the phone to concrete parking lot. I believe the phone would be just fine..We have had about 5 phone cases from JETech. Nothing fancy. Cost effective.
