This cover fits iPad Air 3 perfectly. It is lightweight so won’t defeat the purpose of Air series. Just a note that the angle of the stand is quite big. meaning it will stand quite up straight. My old case for the Air 1 is more lying down.

I really like the texture of the backing. It makes it easy to hold. It does add weight. but the backing gives great durability such that the iPad probably would withstand being accidentally dropped even on a hard floor. Very good product.
