I would call this case a light duty case. Good to protect against scratches probably the short fall but nothing serious. I love the auto sleep mode when you close the case. It does show finger prints but cleans up easily.

This is the second time I have bought this cover as the quality is excellent for a reasonable price. We use the iPad mini on a daily basis and the last one was only getting a bit tatty after about a year. It fits the iPad mini 4 perfectly is non slip and auto sleep/wake works as it should. I can recommend this cover.
