I was getting this to replace one that I had previously gotten from this same manufacturer… The old one had a solid colour back. this new one is a transparent coloured back. I mean that you can see the Apple logo through the cover. the old one you could not. and I liked the surface of the old one better. it was not as slippery as this one is. The front of the cover is the same. the folds work the same to keep the ipad upright which I want to read in bed or with the ipad on my lap. I will keep it but. I am disappointed that the plastic backing is likely not as strong as the previous one.
