Your iPad will snap into this plastic (not leather or leatherette) case. It will spring to life or shut down as you open and close the flap. If you fold the flap around back to hold the device in your right hand. the cover’s sharp edge will protrude along the right-hand side. This is exceedingly annoying and requires folding the cover back at the first “seam.” This makes it slightly trickier to hold in your right hand. but it’s easily managed although slightly annoying. If you hold the device in your left hand. this shouldn’t be a problem. Of course. the right-handed user could turn the iPad and case upside down and while the screen would re-orient. buttons and speakers would be out of position. I cannot rate its durability as I’ve only used for a couple of weeks. The magnetized. rubberized Apple iPad cover this replaces would after about a year start to separate and required replacement. And. before I forget. flipping the case upside down so that the flap opens toward the right is not an option. The cut-outs are customized to the standard orientation. Therefore. the speakers would be entirely muffled.
