I really like this style of case. and I had a previous name brand case of the same style which after a few years had really started to deteriorate (the ‘fabric’. not the plastic shell)..So this makes a good replacement. and the price makes it a no brainer..I only gave it 4 stars though. because unlike the name brand case. this one has a lot softer case material. It doesnt ‘snap’ firmly over the ipad in quite the same way and I’m a little worries that if it’s taken in/out of the case it might stretch a bit or lose some of its snugness..But.. if you have this iPad. and want a good everyday case to hold your pen and give it a bit of extra protection. This is worth checking out.

I got this as a gift for somebody new to iPads. They had one of the thin. inexpensive flip covers that work well – except for when you want to set the iPad on your lap. like a laptop. Then. because the folded up base is so small. they aren’t very stable your lap. This type of case allows you to set the iPad on your lap and it really stays put. I have a Zugu case on my iPad mini that I love – so I’ll compare this case to the Zugu. First off. this one is substantially cheaper than a Zugu. so keep that in mind. The case attaches to the iPad no problem and is snug. It has an external space for an Apple Pencil which I do no love. It adds to the width of the case and if you don’t use a pencil just takes up space. The case itself seems well made and looks good. It’s an appropriate weight for the size. When placed in “laptop mode” there are only three adjustment angles. They are good for most things. but having a few extra (like on the Zugu) is handy). Also. there is no magnetic stay on this when in laptop mode. so if you pick it up. the case doesn’t stay in the position it was in. Not a huge deal – but something I do love about my Zugu. Bottom line. this is a nice version of this type of case. If you are willing to spend twice as much. the Zugu is better. but this one hits the basics just fine.

I did loads of research looking for a case for my new I-pad. Most were either cheap/flimsy or over-engineered. E.g. who wants to remove an elastic band every time you use your I-pad? ??.This one was perfect – good quality & robust but easy to use..Arrived next day.
