I bought this to use to check the temperature of a 22 cast iron skillet while frying chicken. The laser feature works well when trying to read the temperature of specific areas. Also I had a refrigerator that someone had moved the temperature setting to warmer by accident. I reset the temperature control to colder and placed a commercial thermometer in the refrigerator to assure it was set to 34 degrees. I double checked my new Helect Infrared Thermometer Gun and it was spot on accurate reading at 34 degrees the same as the commercial thermometer. I highly recommend this product.

Works well right out of the box and easy to use. We use it with our wood fired outdoor pizza oven . Nice to have when weather is cold or windy to see just what oven temp is…

So far it”s a great temperature gun. I used it for the first time yesterday to make cold process soap. It is so easy to use and I feel it”s very accurate. You do not always have to buy an expensive brand to have great quality.

I like the point and shoot feature (my cat liked the laser pointer)
