This infrared heat sensor seems to work fine. Purchased to check a grinding type noise from my front SUV wheel. Tried to compare temperatures between other wheels as well as areas around the wheel. Couldn’t find any significant difference. Might be just me and need a learning curve..One thing I don’t care for is that you need to remove the battery when not in use for a while. I expect to use this tool very sporadically. so battery needs to be removed.

Stop accidentally boiling your honey and/or oil infusions. Better for medicine making than even a candy thermometer! Only had it a week so I can’t speak to its durability but seems likely to hold up well.

The connection is VERY tight. I have had three of these and could not get the new battery to seat on 2. Use it when I grill and also to ck my RV and Tk tires for heat buildup when I am traveling.

You will not get a better product for the money. Easy to use. The only thing In would say is I would also liked to have had the buttons marked beside the buttons on the gun as the marks on the buttons is a little hard to see.

Overall works well. My only reason for not giving this item 5 stars is that the laser is significantly off center. The measuring field is 12:1 so theoretically if I am measuring the temp of something 48 inches away then the field of measure is a 4 inch diameter circle on the object. However at that range the laser beam is pointed well outside that 4 inch circle. Not a huge deal you just need to compensate and know where you are pointed.
