This is great helper in keeping frying oil at a safe temperature when using a pot deep fryer on the stove. The 9V battery lasts a year+ when I use it once a week.

I checked this against a calibrated infrared thermometer at work and it was within 3 degrees. Given that the calibrated thermometer cost about $200 I am pretty pleased at this price point.

Bought this for use on a pizza oven to check the temperature of the stones before use. Easy to use and I think the readings are fairly accurate judging by the results.
