I have had no problems with this device. I have purchased others with intermittent success. I have tried this on 2 different monitors with 3 different types of speakers and it worked great. I was so pleased I bought a second one so that I can leave it attached to the monitor and speakers at two different locations.

This unit works well for laptops that have only an hdmi output and need to connect to an older RGB projector.

This was exactly what I needed to connect my older monitor to my PC which had only a single VGA connection that was already being used by my primary monitor. An added bonus is that it had the holes to allow the VGA connector screws to tighten so there are no fears of the adapter coming loose. I simply plugged it in then restarted my PC and the system recognized the new hardware with no problems.
Kudos to the company’s customer service for responding promptly and politely to my adapter registration and offering a lifetime warranty with this product. At a total cost under $10 I couldn’t be happier–and it took only about a week to receive (without a Prime account) despite currrent (Covid-19) conditions.

Easy to use and a great price! Arrived sooner than expected. The picture quality is as expected. If it looked like the primary screen it would be amazing. I would recommend and buy 1k times again!

This device is useful primarily in situations where a HDMI or DVI video output must feed into a VGA device typically a KVM switch. Resulting display is flawless. One caveat is that it requires a 5V (USB) power source either from the connected equipment or a separate supply. I have three in use and they have been reliable so far.
