The adapter comes with the cord to attach to the sound as well and it was so easy to just plug in and my tiny laptop was attached to a large monitor flawlessly.

I bought this because I give presentations all over the country. Once in awhile I”ll arrive at the venue to discover they only have a VGA connection for their projector. My laptop is HDMI out only. This adapter works perfectly for this purpose without needing to plug in the 5V DC shown as optional on this adapter. Love it. However I discovered if I try to use an HDMI adapter from my iPad then connect that to this so I can get my iPad to display on the projector the 5V DC adapter was needed. But at the end of the day it still worked perfectly. So how could I give this thing any less than 5 stars? I bought 3 more from my coworkers.

After buying a few that didn’t work. I tried this as a last dich effort and thankfully I did. It works a charm. So now we have happy cadets and staff we can do presentations again!

This product was required to enable a second monitor to be linked to a laptop. The laptop only had hdmi and the screen only had VGA. It works as a solution. The picture quality is not as good as on the laptop but this could be down to the monitor itself. But good price that solved a problem.

the picture is perfect and there is not a lapse in the screen at all. I think it was a valuable investment
