I have an older monitor from 2008 that does not have an HDMI port. I was able to plug this into my graphics card and use that monitor as a secondary monitor.

It works . that is what counts. The cable on it reduces stress on the port on the computer. It was shipped quickly.

The product works as explained there is no depletion in picture quality and the normal expected VGA quality is displayed. We used for setting up dual monitors by converting one of the DisplayPort outputs to VGA so that we could use two VGA monitors simultaniously.
